"Lahaf doozi" or quilt sewer, is an ancient Iranian skill and trade for fluffing up the matted cotton inside of traditional mattresses.
"Lahaf doozi" is an old-fashion occupation that has been fading away as a result of modernization. Quilters used to wonder about the town to find customers who needed new quilts. They did so by singing a chant in the streets, informing the neighborhood of their presence. ———————————————————
